September Club Meeting

Presenter: Paul Ahrens, NØPD
Location: LARC Clubhouse (4420 NW 41st St, Lincoln)
Date: Sept 9, 7:30 PM

We’re probably all familiar with the ubiquitous electrical connector in some form or other, but have you ever looked at an electrical connector and wondered how all of those tiny pins, contacts, and plastic parts are actually made? Together we’ll explore the manufacturing processes that turn raw materials into the connectors we use every day. We’ll look at how metal contacts are stamped and formed, how connector housings are molded, how contacts are plated, and how it all gets assembled together to create connectors.
