LARC Holiday Party

Siren Test July 3

Field Day June 22-23
The Lincoln Amateur Radio Club will operate its official Field Day deployment from 1:00 pm Saturday, June 22, until 1:00 pm Sunday, June 23, at Mahoney Park in Lincoln, 70th and Fremont Streets. Contesting will be conducted on 6, 15, 20, 40, and 80-meter voice, and Morse Code (CW).
VE testing session will be held at 2:00 pm. Check in at the north picnic shelter.
The LARC picnic will be held at the north picnic shelter on Saturday at 6:00 pm. In Ham tradition, check-in is at 5:30 pm. The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and drink. Members are asked to bring a salad, vegetable, or dessert to share. At 8:00 pm, enjoy cool slices of watermelon at the shelter.
The GOTA (Get On The Air) station will also be open and operating for 24 hours. GOTA coaches invite you and your family to stop by and try your “voice” on high-frequency (HF) bands as well as 2 meters.
Storm Spotter Training
Storm Spotter Training will be held during Weatherfest on April 6. The training will be from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm, but come out for the day. The event starts at 8:00 am. For full event details see weatherfest.unl.edu.
