Dr. Ken Dewey, WDØBIV
It’s that time of year again for our very own Ken Dewey, WDØBIV, to give his annual presentation. Ken will review the past 12 months of weather, especially our weird and wacky winter, as well as what we might expect with this spring’s severe weather season. Ken will also give an overview of the upcoming Central Plains Severe Weather Symposium and Family Weatherfest, which includes storm spotter training, scheduled for Saturday, April 6, at the Nebraska Innovation Campus.
There will be two testing opportunities this month. The monthly VE test will be held as scheduled at the Red Cross on Thursday, March 7, at 6:30 pm. There will also be VE testing during Hamfest on March 9. Testing will be held from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. See www.lincolnhamfest.org for details about the event.
The February club meeting is February 13 at 19:30. We will meet at LI-COR (4647 Superior Street) – located near the intersection of Superior Street and North 48th Street.
