General Class

Is 2019 the year you’ll upgrade your license from Tech to General? The Lincoln Amateur Radio Club is hosting a FREE eight-week course for the General License!

You may choose to purchase a manual. We recommend the ARRL General Class License Manual, Eighth Edition, available from the ARRL and Amazon.

The course will be held in Room 130 of Krueger Hall at Union College and taught by
Aaron Rogge, NØADR.

For more information you can email class@k0kkv.org.

January Club Meeting

Are you new to ham radio and experiencing interference from the neighbor’s television? Have you ever thought about how the cable TV system works? How do they get all those channels on a single center conductor and are able to have two-way communications via the internet, video, and audio?

Ed Holloway, KØRPT, will give a presentation on CCTV/CATV design, from the
head end to the subscriber’s set-top box. He’ll show you some things you may want to know about fixing your internal CCTV/CATV system to eliminate interference you may be having. We’ll see you at the club meeting.

December Club Meeting

The December club meeting is December 12 at 19:30. We will meet at LI-COR (4647 Superior Street) – located near the intersection of Superior Street and North 48th Street.

LARC Board Elections

It is time to elect club members to the LARC Board. It is critical for all members to come and vote.

Look inside this edition for write-ups submitted by each candidate. Come to the club meeting on Wednesday, December 12, and vote for the candidates you want to see on your LARC Board of Directors. Make your voice heard!

Please bring a snack to share and a canned food item for the Salvation Army
kitchen.
