The credentialing procedure has been streamlined and a new test will be offered for those who need it from last year as well as for new spotters this year. State Spotter credentials are good for 3 years.
In addition to attending the April 5 training, new spotters will also have to complete the two online courses in order to receive the State credentials.
In addition, in order to receive state credentials, spotters need to attend the NWS training April 5 and take the written exam.
